2021 Spring Season Wrap-up

We wanted to thank everyone that made this season possible including the coaches, the trainers, the parents, and most importantly the players. We knew starting another season during the pandemic would present some challenges and thankfully everyone worked together to make sure our kids could enjoy as much normalcy as possible.

I wanted to give special recognition to two members of our club that work behind the scenes to make sure games get played and league issues are handled properly. Those two people are Tony Mevoli who schedules the games and makes sure referees are assigned and our MOSA league representative Jason Catalfomo. Without them our season would certainly have been even more challenging.

For a club with only 12 teams we had an outstanding season! Our 2007 boys’ team, the Storm, won our first State Cup Final in a thrilling game where many fellow club members came to cheer them on. We also had three other teams reach the semi-finals of the State Cup and they were our 2004, 2005, and our 2008 boys’ teams. What a great representation of how hard our club works and the kind of talent we have at MUFC.

We also had several teams participate in the MOSA Cup where two teams made it to the finals our 2012 and 2006 boys’ teams. The 2006 boys walked away winning the MOSA CUP, their second one, in dominating fashion!

The regular season saw all our teams compete well with two flight champions and one playing an undefeated season (2013)! These accomplishments speak volumes about our players, coaches, and trainers. We have listed the teams below starting with our oldest and ending with our youngest. Please join me in congratulating them all!
